Since beginning his career 11 years ago, Alam has held up residencies at most of the major venues, such as Kuala Lumpur’s premier underground club; The Backroom*KL, while making guest appearances at the legendary Zouk Club and Velvet Underground, Echo, Ministry of Sound KL, and that’s only to name a few, in addition to the expansion towards the Indonesian scene over the years, playing at the famous Stadium, Co2 and Embassy. In 2005, Alam continued to garner attention by developing his sounds across to Melbourne, Australia, where he quickly built up a following through his residencies at clubs such as Seven Nightclub, Brown Alley, and while having the opportunity to grace the decks at the now defunct Metro, QBH, and Ffour. This in turn led to starting his own successful nights at two of Melbourne’s forefront nightclubs - Room680 and Miss Libertine.
KL Beatz was a night he created, showcasing Malaysia’s hidden talents and redirecting a fresh new approach to the Melbourne dance music scene. His residency with Darkbeat opened up international opportunities, as he regularly played alongside Melbourne’s best DJs. Meanwhile in Malaysia, Obsession had relaunched its branding with a new collaboration, now known as OMP Entertainment - the leading event company focused on expanding Kuala Lumpur’s influential nightlife culture. These countless achievements include the privilege of supporting worldwide events with renowned brandings such as Yoshitoshi Records, Resident Advisor Asia Tour, Gatecrasher World Tours, Nascent: Thinking Out Loud, Slinky Australia Tour, Kompakt Recordings, Balance Series, Buzzin’ Fly, Strawberry Fields, Inthemix50 Club Tour, Kiss FM Radio, Hardware Corp, Sunny, Pretty Simple, Stable Music and The Melbourne Techno Collective.

The release will be available through Beatport and most of the other online digital stores.
Regularly playing in both Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne throughout the year builds challenges to broaden his musical influences when delivering fresh, cutting-edge sounds and having full control when connecting with the audience. There is still much more to come, as this is only the beginning of another musical chapter as Alam continues to push his career to higher levels gradually across the global dance music culture.

-KL Beatz was originally formed by a group of friends with one thing in common, the passion for good quality House music. Although based in Melbourne, KL Beatz consists of Malaysians from KL, that have all been connected through the love for music and its scence back in KL, hence the name "KL Beatz". With a diverse background of interest in music, each individual member is unique in their own sound and thus, this provided our audience with a "feel" of to what House music actually is. With tunes ranging from Deep House to Tech House and even Minimal, KL Beatz has long ushered a platform for House music lovers linking the two different countries (Australia & Malaysia) with a series of events, which over the years, KL Beatz has been organizing and managed successfully featured at some of Melbourne's top nightclubs and venues.
-To further commemorate our 2nd birthday, KL Beatz would like to thank all those who have been involved including Guest DJ's, Producers, Event Companies, Nightclubs and Bars and of course, our fellow KL Beatz Members. Sami Wentz is a talented DJ/Producer that strives to create music that bears substance and encompasses originality. At the age of sixteen he began to explore the night life. He immediately fell in love with the scene by witnessing some of the biggest djs of the time. After several years of being an avid techno lover, it occurred to him to begin producing his own work. In just a month later he signed his first contract with the largest international label in the techno minimal scene, Piso Records. He quickly gained steamed with releases on Autist records and his first vinyl release on Stereo Seven Plus Records. He soon began to share the decks alongside major artists such as Digitalism, Vitalic, Dusty kid, Dandi & Ugo, Lutzenkirchen, Uto Karem, Slam, and many more.
